Volleyball Recap: A.L. Brown Wonders vs. Cox Mill Chargers

A.L. Brown lost against Cox Mill back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wonders came up short against the Chargers, falling 3-0. The Wonders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-11, 25-12.

Alycea Conejo paced A.L. Brown's offense, picking up three kills. Conejo got some help from Myla McNeely and her seven assists. Makenna Auberry controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cox Mill to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alaina Walker, who had five digs and two aces. Walker has been hot, having also posted 13 or more assists the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Aiyanna Mckinnon, who had ten digs and two assists.

A.L. Brown's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Cox Mill, the win keeps them at an undefeated 20-0.

A.L. Brown wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against West Cabarrus on the 9th. As for Cox Mill, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Lake Norman Charter on the 8th.
