Baseball Recap: Bedford Gets the Win

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Bedford ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Fuchs Mizrachi Mayhem 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bearcats have posted since April 14th.

JJ Hudson was incredible, going 2-for-5 with four stolen bases and two runs. Bedford is 4-2 when Hudson posts two or more runs, but 2-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Alex Barto, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

The win got Bedford back to even at 6-6. As for Fuchs Mizrachi, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Bedford will be playing in front of their home fans against Brush at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Fuchs Mizrachi, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Andrews Osborne Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Phoenix's pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so the Mayhem's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
