Softball Recap: Batavia Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Batavia's offense. They came up short against the Glenbard North Panthers on Thursday, falling 8-0. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost nine in a row.

Batavia's defeat dropped their record down to 8-22. As for Glenbard North, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.

Batavia will challenge Larkin at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Royals have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season. As for Glenbard North, they will take on Wheaton North at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 4, the Falcons 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
