Basketball Game Preview: Westminster Academy Lions vs. Sports Leadership & Management

The Westminster Academy Lions will face off against Sports Leadership & Management at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Westminster Academy will be strutting in after a victory while Sports Leadership & Management will be coming in after a loss.

Last Thursday, Westminster Academy strolled past North Broward Prep with points to spare, taking the game 62-46. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 14th, while the Eagles are ranked 131st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Sports Leadership & Management was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 42-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of Academy of Central Florida. The matchup marked Sports Leadership & Management's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Westminster Academy pushed their record up to 15-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.8 points per game. As for Sports Leadership & Management, their loss dropped their record down to 10-9.

Things could have been worse for Westminster Academy, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 54-38 loss to Sports Leadership & Management in their previous matchup back in January of 2024.
