Baseball Recap: Fairfield Takes a Loss

Fairfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 8-5 to the Princeton Vikings. Surprisingly, this marked the Indians' sixth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Fairfield's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Princeton, they pushed their record up to 9-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Fairfield will square off against Oak Hills at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Highlanders have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season. Princeton will be paying especially close attention to Fairfield's match: after Fairfield faces off against Oak Hills, they'll take on Princeton again at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
