After a string of 11 wins, St. Mary Catholic Central's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They came up short against the Richard Pioneers, falling 77-53. While losing is never fun, the Falcons/Kestrels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 160th, while the Pioneers are ranked 36th).

St. Mary Catholic Central's loss dropped their record down to 21-5. As for Richard, their win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 21-3.

St. Mary Catholic Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Richard, they will square off against Lumen Christi Catholic on Tuesday.
