Baseball Recap: Hugo Takes a Loss

Hugo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 9-4 to the Silo Rebels. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rebels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-0 last Monday.

Dakota Coulter made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 1-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of Hugo's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 7-1 (and 2-12 when he doesn't).

Hugo's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Silo, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2.

Coming up, Hugo will square off against Muskogee at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. Silo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
