Baseball Game Preview: Colonial Beach Drifters vs. Lancaster Red Devils

Colonial Beach hasn't had much luck against Lancaster recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Drifters will head out to take on the Red Devils at 7:30 p.m. Colonial Beach has given up an average of 10.5 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Colonial Beach is headed into Monday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Thursday. They came up short against Northumberland, falling 17-1.

Meanwhile, Lancaster was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 3-1 to Essex, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Colonial Beach's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Lancaster, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.

Colonial Beach came out on top in a nail-biter against Lancaster when the teams last played back in May of 2024, sneaking past 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Drifters since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
