Basketball Recap: Patterson Beats Modesto for Their Second Straight Victory

Patterson won the last time they faced Modesto, and Troyce Harrison did his part to make sure it happened again. Everything went the Patterson Tigers' way against the Modesto Panthers on Saturday as the Patterson Tigers made off with a 70-47 win thanks in part to Harrison, who went 8 of 18 on his way to 23 points and five rebounds. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jace Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted nine or more boards the last four times he's played.

The victory made it two in a row for Patterson and bumps their season record up to 3-6. As for Modesto, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Patterson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-39 win against Hilmar on the 23rd. As for Modesto, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 85-28 defeat against Oakland Tech on the 26th.
