Volleyball Recap: Walled Lake Northern Takes a Loss + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Walled Lake Northern can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Milford Mavericks on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Knights have suffered since October 16th.

Walled Lake Northern took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-12, 25-23.

Leading Milford to victory were Kyler Madison and Kaitlynne Sienko. Madison had 14 digs and one assist, while Sienko had seven digs and two aces. Those 14 digs gave Madison a new career-high. Brielle Stankov also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Walled Lake Northern's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 20-19-1. As for Milford, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-9-1 record this season.

Walled Lake Northern does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Milford, they will challenge Brighton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
