Baseball Game Preview: Loara Saxons vs. Rancho Alamitos Vaqueros

The Loara Saxons are taking a road trip to challenge the Rancho Alamitos Vaqueros at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Loara is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.

Loara's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They came out on top against Los Amigos by a score of 5-0.

Meanwhile, Rancho Alamitos suffered their closest defeat since May 7, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of La Quinta by a score of 3-1. The Vaqueros have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Rancho Alamitos saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gerardo Avila, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Loara pushed their record up to 9-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Rancho Alamitos, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.

Everything went Loara's way against Rancho Alamitos when the teams last played back in March, as Loara made off with a 6-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Saxons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
