There's no place like home for St. Michael, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 61-58 victory over the Fort Thomas Apaches on Saturday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Cardinals considering their 26-point performance the contest before.

Several Apaches players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Channing Wilson, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 14 boards. That was a full 44.8% of Fort Thomas' points, marking the third time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Michael Olivar was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds.

St. Michael's win bumped their record up to 7-13. As for Fort Thomas, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-10.

St. Michael didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 57-48 loss against Rock Point on the 5th. As for Fort Thomas, they have also already played their next game, an 81-35 victory against San Manuel on the 4th.
