Baseball Recap: Piedmont Extends Winning Streak to Three

Choctaw typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday Piedmont proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Yellowjackets by a score of 13-9. The win was familiar territory for the Wildcats, who have now won three matches in a row.

Piedmont's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-7. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Choctaw, they moved to 15-5 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Piedmont is set to square off against their familiar foe Eisenhower at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Choctaw will challenge rival Deer Creek at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
