Softball Game Preview: Luling Eagles vs. Stockdale Brahmas

The Luling Eagles will head out to face off against the Stockdale Brahmas at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Luling's offense. They came up short against Goliad on Tuesday, falling 15-0. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Stockdale came into Tuesday's contest having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They had just enough and edged out Karnes City 13-12 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Brahmas have posted since February 25th.

Stockdale's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 3-11. As for Luling, their loss dropped their record down to 10-12.

Everything went Luling's way against Stockdale when the teams last played two weeks ago, as Luling made off with a 12-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
