Football Recap: Cascade Christian Takes Down North Valley in a Playoff Battle + How To Watch

Cascade Christian extended their postseason success on Friday against North Valley. They really took it to the Knights for the full four quarters, racking up a 48-0 victory. The Challengers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by 27 points or more this season.

Deryk Farmer continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 195 yards and three TDs on only ten passes, while also rushing for 40 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Mikey Covey, who picked up 121 receiving yards and one score.

Cascade Christian didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited North Valley to a completion percentage of just 50%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from four players: Bryson Walker, Jackson Fralich, Seth Scaglione, and Alex Fiannaca, who each logged one passes deflected. Cascade Christian wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 76.9%.

The win keeps Cascade Christian at an undefeated 11-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 4.3 points on average this season. As for North Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.

Looking ahead, Cascade Christian will face off against Gervais at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Challengers will need to watch out since the Cougars have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games. North Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
