Softball Recap: Sidney Team vs. Unatego Spartans

Sidney couldn't beat Unatego on Tuesday even though they stacked five runs on them in the sixth inning. The Team fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 10-9. The Team were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Trinity Lowe and Kate Young did some serious damage despite the final result: Lowe got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and two RBI, while Young's went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Sam Constable was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Sidney and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sidney will challenge Walton at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Unatego, they will be playing at home against Bainbridge-Guilford at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
