Softball Recap: The First Academy Has No Trouble Against Harmony

The First Academy's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Everything went their way against the Harmony Longhorns as The First Academy made off with a 9-0 win. This was payback for the Royals, who suffered a 3-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Isabella Brown was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-4. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season.

In other batting news, Nola-Blair Simmons was incredible, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Sulexy Falcon, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

The First Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

The First Academy's record is now 3-7. As for Harmony, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-6.

The First Academy has already played their next game, a 15-0 victory against Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy on the 29th. As for Harmony, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 11-0 win against Taylor on the 29th.
