Volleyball Recap: Tri County Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Tri County had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Palmyra Panthers. The Trojans were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Panthers, so the Trojans were just returning the favor.

Tri County easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-19.

Their offense was headlined by Olive Clark and Sayber Hoesche, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Meila Gronemeyer and her nine assists. Clark was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Tri County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Bruning-Davenport/Shickley on the 28th. As for Palmyra, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Wilber-Clatonia on the 28th.
