Basketball Recap: Moorcroft Comes Up Short

Moorcroft was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They were outmatched by the Wright Panthers and fell 57-18. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 59-44 on February 1st.

Trinity Boyer was Moorcroft's leading scorer, having posted six points. Ciara Fenner held things down on the boards with four rebounds. London McCrea took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

It was another big night for Briana Meza, who dropped a double-double with 26 points and 16 boards for Wright. Wright is undefeated when Meza posts 20 or more points, but 8-13 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Jocelyn Umiker, who went 8-for-9 to rack up 18 points and seven rebounds.

Moorcroft's defeat dropped their record down to 3-20. As for Wright, their win bumped their record up to 11-13.

As of now, neither Moorcroft nor Wright have any future games scheduled.
