Soccer Game Preview: Borger vs. Perryton

The Borger Bulldogs will take on the Perryton Rangers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Borger narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Canyon 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Noah Dimmitt and Justin Aguilar scored both of Borger's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Meanwhile, Perryton had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 goals) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Whitefaces an 8-0 shutout. The Rangers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by three goals or more this season.

Perryton pushed their record up to 7-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three contests. As for Borger, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
