Volleyball Recap: Port Isabel Takes a Loss

Port Isabel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of IDEA Frontier College Prep. The Tarpons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced IDEA Frontier College Prep earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

IDEA Frontier College Prep can attribute much of their success to Neidyn Camacho, who had 18 digs. Camacho has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 19 times she's played. Camila Martinez also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Port Isabel's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for IDEA Frontier College Prep, their win bumped their record up to 2-6.

Port Isabel has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Veterans Memorial on the 26th. As for IDEA Frontier College Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Non Varsity Tournament Opponent on the 23rd.
