Purnell Swett won the last time they faced Douglas Byrd and Kamryn Locklear did her part to make sure it happened again. The Rams breezed past the Eagles to the tune of 57-13 on Tuesday for which the team can thank Locklear, who shot 71% from the field en route to 14 points in addition to five assists and four steals. Thanks to that strong game, she now owns an excellent 47.4% field goal percentage.

Another player making a difference was Johnna Sampson, who posted ten points and four steals. Sampson is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Purnell Swett, bringing their record up to 4-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.5 points over those games. As for Douglas Byrd, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, Purnell Swett will challenge Red Springs at 6:00 p.m. on the 10th. As for Douglas Byrd, they will face off against Lumberton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
