Boerne-Champion barely beat Smithson Valley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Chargers blew past the Rangers 3-0 on Friday. The  victory continues a trend for the Chargers in their matchups with the Rangers: they've now won four in a row.
 Boerne-Champion never let Smithson Valley on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-20,  25-23.
Boerne-Champion's offense was headlined by  Taylor Fenton and  Cassidy Breuer, who picked up 12 kills apiece. They got some help from  Brady Cooksey and her 33 assists.  Brielle Boothe controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
 Despite the loss, Smithson Valley still got an impressive performance from   Berkley Bates, who  had 23  digs and three  assists. Bates is  on a roll when it comes to  digs, as she's  now  had 12 or more in each of the last nine games she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Sophia Fuentes, who  had six  digs and two  aces.
Boerne-Champion's win bumped their record up to 23-5. As for Smithson Valley,  the  loss snapped their winning streak at three matches  and leaves them with a 23-12 record.
 Coincidentally, Boerne-Champion and Smithson Valley will both be playing Alamo Heights the next time they take the court. The Rangers will head out to face the Mules at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday, while the Chargers will  host them  at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday.
