Basketball Preview: Meade Mustangs vs. North County Knights
The Meade Mustangs will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the North County Knights at 6:00 p.m. Meade has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 537 points over their last eight games.
Last Saturday, Meade didn't have too much trouble with the Eagles on the road as they won 64-50.
It was another big night for Ashton Turman, who scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucaya Baldridge, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
North County won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. Their rough 63-41 loss to Glen Burnie might stick with them for a while. North County has not had much luck with the Gophers recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Meade is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for North County, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-12.
Meade strolled past the Knights in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 by a score of 59-41. Will Meade repeat their success, or do the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
