            Softball Recap: Pascagoula Panthers vs. Moss Point Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            There's no place like home for Pascagoula, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  last Friday. They never let the Moss Point Tigers get on the board and left with  a   10-0  victory  on Monday. The  win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won six in a row.
 Massyah Thomas was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  tossed 1.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. She has been consistent  recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances with one  triple, one  stolen base,  and one  run.
 In other batting news,  Ty'Mia Bell and  Asante Dawson did most of the damage at the plate:  Bell  scored three  runs and  stole four bases while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances, while  Dawson  went a perfect 3-for-3 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  double. That's the most  runs  Bell has posted since back in February.  Yasmine Black was another key player,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
 Pascagoula  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters  in three consecutive  matchups.

Pascagoula's victory bumped their record up to 6-13. As for Moss Point,  they are  on  a  five-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 4-19.
 Looking ahead, Pascagoula will face off against George County at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rebels have averaged an impressive 6.5  runs per game this season. As for Moss Point, they will venture away from home to  challenge Bay  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
