Monticello piles up the points against Goochland

Make it six blowout wins for the Monticello Mustangs this season. They breezed by Goochland on the road to the tune of 47-13. The win was some much needed relief for Monticello as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Dylan Wood was her usual excellent self, scoring 11 points along with six assists and two steals. Another player making a difference was Marisa Dyer, who scored eight points along with three steals.

Monticello's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Goochland, their loss was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-11.

Monticello will head out on the road to face off against William Monroe at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Goochland, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Lunenburg Central at 6:30 p.m. on January 24th.
