Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They snuck past the Saint Francis Lancers with a 50-46 victory. The Fightin' Irish have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lancers, too.

Kiran Tate-Day went supernova for Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory, going 8 for 13 on his way to 19 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Andre Daniels, who posted eight points.

With the win, Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-4. As for Saint Francis, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-7.

Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 78-42 defeat against St. Ignatius College Preparatory on the 14th. As for Saint Francis, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-44 loss against Valley Christian on the 14th.
