While Parkway South's victory against Hickman wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Patriots sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over the Kewpies on Saturday. The victory continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Kewpies: they've now won three in a row.
Andrew Heskett looked comfortable as he tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three).
On the hitting side, August Johansen was excellent, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
