Basketball Game Preview: Devine Warhorses / Arabians vs. Jourdanton Indians/Squaws

The Devine Warhorses / Arabians will head out to challenge the Jourdanton Indians/Squaws at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Devine has given up an average of 68.6 points per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Devine is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They strolled past Martin with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 83-67. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warhorses / Arabians.

Meanwhile, Jourdanton unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were outmatched by Nixon-Smiley and fell 65-36. The loss was just more heartbreak for the Indians/Squaws who fell 53-50 when the teams previously met back in December of 2023.

Devine's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Jourdanton, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

Devine beat Jourdanton 76-63 in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warhorses / Arabians since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
