Softball Recap: Castle Knights vs. Evansville North Huskies

Castle waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Evansville North Huskies. This was payback for Castle, who suffered an 8-7 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Sadie Winsett made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off eight hits (and only one walk). Winsett has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive pitching appearances. Winsett was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with a home run and two RBI.
