Preview: Windham Whippets vs. Brookfield Bobcats
The Windham Whippets will head out on the road to face off against the Brookfield Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Windham gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They walked away with a 60-47 victory over Ledyard.
Windham can attribute much of their success to Malcolm Hunter , who scored 16 points along with six steals and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Tahj Jones, who scored ten points along with five steals.
Meanwhile, even though New Canaan scored an imposing 59 points on Saturday, Brookfield still came out on top. Brookfield took their game against New Canaan 67-59.
Windham pushed their record up to 1-0 with that win, which was their third straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.7 points per game. As for Brookfield, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
