Washington lost against Gibson Southern last Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Hatchets took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Titans. The Hatchets' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Shay Hawk paced Washington's offense, picking up four kills. Hawk got some help from Addy Williams and her five assists. Finally, Danica Dowling kept Washington's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Washington's loss dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Gibson Southern, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

Coincidentally, Washington and Gibson Southern will both be playing Evansville Central the next time they take the court. The Hatchets will head out to face the Bears at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Titans will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
