After flying high against Coahoma last Saturday, Brownfield came back down to earth. The Brownfield Cubs took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lamesa Tornadoes on Tuesday. The Cubs' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Brownfield's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 10-5. As for Lamesa, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Coincidentally, Brownfield and Lamesa will both be playing Denver City the next time they take the field. Lamesa will head out to face Denver City at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Brownfield will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on March 25th.
