Baseball Recap: Summit Academy Bears vs. Mountain View Bruins
Summit Academy extended their losing streak to 12 on Friday, dropping them down to 3-18. They lost 12-2 to the Mountain View Bruins. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bruins this season, with their most recent loss being a 8-1 defeat on Wednesday.
Summit Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tritan Bianco, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.
As for Mountain View, they pushed their record up to 10-12 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games.
On Mountain View's side, Caden Imes made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, Imes posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2025. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Logan Olsen was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI. He has become a key player for Mountain View: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least three hits, but 8-11 otherwise. Josh Hair was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.
