Softball Recap: Bigelow Comes Up Short

Bigelow fell victim to Mt. Vernon-Enola and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Warhawks by a score of 1-0. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Warhawks: they've now lost four in a row.

Bigelow saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hana Staples, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Bigelow's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Mt. Vernon-Enola, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-8 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bigelow will welcome Central Arkansas Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mt. Vernon-Enola, they will be playing at home against Rose Bud at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
