Basketball Recap: Greenville Takes a Loss

Greenville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took a 60-46 bruising from the Trion Bulldogs. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 64-53 last Saturday.

When it comes to explaining why Greenville lost, don't look at Marquel Deering. Despite the final result, he went 9 of 10 en route to 21 points. Another player making a difference was Shaun Moreland, who posted ten points.

Greenville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Trion, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-5.

Greenville will face off against Mt. Zion at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Trion has already played their next matchup (against Manchester), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
