Volleyball Recap: The Rock Continues Road Dominance on Monday

Branford typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday The Rock proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Buccaneers by a score of 3-1.

While The Rock might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Branford scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-18, 21-25, 25-21.

Despite the defeat, Branford saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ava Alcorn had 18 digs and four assists. Alcorn is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last four games she's played.

The Rock's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-7. As for Branford, with the loss, they broke their eight-match winning streak and moved their record to 15-4.

The Rock wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Santa Fe on the 7th. As for Branford, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Valdosta on the 7th.
