Baseball Recap: Twelve Bridges Victorious

Twelve Bridges won the last time they faced Nevada Union and things went their way on Friday too. The Raging Rhinos came out on top against the Miners by a score of 9-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Raging Rhinos.

Twelve Bridges got a great performance from Trent Grandquis as he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. The Raging Rhinos are 3-1 when Grandquis allows one or fewer earned runs, but 4-7 otherwise.

At the plate, James Romanov was incredible, scoring a run while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. What's more, he posted two doubles, the most he's had since back in February. Another player making a difference was Jarett Hackney, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one stolen base.

Twelve Bridges' victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Nevada Union, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season.

Twelve Bridges will have a chance to go back-to-back against Nevada Union: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
