Basketball Recap: Addi Pease Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Holgate

Paulding won the last time they faced Holgate and things went their way on Saturday too. The Paulding Panthers walked away with a 46-34 win over the Holgate Tigers. While the Panthers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Paulding got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Addi Pease out in front who posted six points in addition to seven steals and six assists. The dominant performance gave Pease a new career-high in steals. Another player making a difference was Tori Schlatter, who put up 11 points and three steals.

Paulding smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in seven consecutive games.

Paulding's record now sits at 6-1. As for Holgate, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Paulding didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 31-28 win against Jefferson on the 30th. As for Holgate, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 44-14 loss against Napoleon on the 26th.
