Basketball Recap: Eagle Academy II Extends Home Winning Streak to 19

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eagle Academy II). They claimed a resounding 87-51 victory over the Erasmus Hall Dutchmen. The Eagle have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 36 points or more this season.

Eagle Academy II's win was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.2 points per game. As for Erasmus Hall, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Eagle Academy II will take on La Salle Academy in a tournament on December 27th. As for Erasmus Hall, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lincoln at 5:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Lincoln knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Erasmus Hall likes a good challenge.
