Football Recap: Clairemont Starts off Right with Win over San Diego

Clairemont had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They snuck past the San Diego Cavers with a 6-0 win on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Chieftains, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Clairemont's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Alexis Benjamin, Camryn Walton, and Liliane Rubio, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clairemont will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Scripps Ranch at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give the Chieftains their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for San Diego, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Castle Park at 7:00 p.m.
