Football Recap: Warren Drops Highest Score of Season Against Point Pleasant

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Warren). They came out on top against the Point Pleasant Big Blacks by a score of 35-24 on Friday. The Warriors pushed the score to 28-6 by the end of the third, a deficit the Big Blacks cut but never quite recovered from.

Tanner Pepper went supernova, picking up 147 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns, while also rushing for 116 yards and one score on only 12 carries. That's the most receiving yards he has posted since back in October of 2024. Warren also got help from Jude Daly, who showed off his sure hands for 88 receiving yards.

Warren's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-6. As for Point Pleasant, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Warren will head out to face off against Fort Frye at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cadets' defense has only allowed seven points per game this season, so the Warriors' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Point Pleasant, they will welcome Marietta at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
