It was a proper cat-fight when Moon Area challenged South Fayette on Tuesday. The Tigers came out on top against the Lions by a score of 15-12. With that victory, the Tigers brought their scoring average up to 6.1 runs per game.

Macy Trost was a standout: she scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Kendall Trexler was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

Trost wasn't the only one making solid contact: Moon Area kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive matchups.

Moon Area now has a winning record of 5-4. As for South Fayette, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Lions beat Moon Area by a score of 8-4 on Wednesday.
