Basketball Recap: Columbia Comes Up Short

The Columbia Eagles were just a bucket shy of victory on Saturday and fell 46-45 to the Paul W. Bryant Stampede. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Columbia's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Paul W. Bryant, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Columbia is taking a road trip to take on Hapeville Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles are facing the Hornets at the right time seeing as the Hornets are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Paul W. Bryant, they will be home for the holidays to greet Hale County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
