Baseball Game Preview: Pilot Point Bearcats vs. Whitesboro Bearcats

Pilot Point is 2-8 against Whitesboro since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. We've got a battle between Bearcats coming up.

On Tuesday, Pilot Point came up short against Whitesboro and fell 7-4.

Pilot Point saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Fernando Marmolejo, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. That stolen base marked the first that Marmolejo snagged this season.

The win (which was Whitesboro's fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Pilot Point, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-6.
