Recap: Severance Silver Knights vs. Riverdale Ridge Ravens
The Severance Silver Knights came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24 points) and they left with even more momentum. They managed a 64-59 victory over Riverdale Ridge. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Severance's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaden Hoffman, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Damarii Wright, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three blocks.
Severance is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Riverdale Ridge, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-2.
Severance won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Thompson Valley at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. Thompson Valley has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Riverdale Ridge, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Niwot at 7:30 p.m.
