Banning Lewis Academy waltzed into their contest on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came out on top against the Prospect Ridge Academy Miners by a score of 2-0. The Stallions were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Miners, so the Stallions were just returning the favor.

Banning Lewis Academy's offense was headlined by Alexis Schoofs and Persephone Phinney, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Alyson Martinez and her six assists. Finally, Katie Chandler kept Banning Lewis Academy's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Banning Lewis Academy's victory bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Prospect Ridge Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-4.
