Basketball Game Preview: Medina Battling Bees vs. Mentor Cardinals

The Medina Battling Bees will square off against the Mentor Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Last Friday, Medina came up short against St. Vincent-St. Mary and fell 61-53.

Meanwhile, Mentor was able to grind out a solid win over Glenville on Saturday, taking the game 76-66. The victory continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Tarblooders: they've now won five in a row.

The match pitted two dominant forwards against one another in Kobe Frasure-Azzano and Xavier Vickerstaff. Frasure-Azzano had a great game and dropped a double-double with 20 points and ten rebounds. Meanwhile, Vickerstaff was balling out in the loss, dropping a double-double with 18 points and 14 boards.

Mentor's win bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Medina, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season.
