Basketball Recap: Wickliffe Comes Up Short

After flying high against Cardinal last Friday, Wickliffe came back down to earth. The Wickliffe Blue Devils fell 72-64 to the Chagrin Falls Tigers on Tuesday. The Blue Devils have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Chagrin Falls' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Spencer Kaas, who went 5 for 6 en route to 15 points. Another player making a difference was Ryan Curtiss, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 20 points and three steals.

Wickliffe's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Chagrin Falls, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Wickliffe didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, an 82-69 loss against Kirtland on the 24th. Chagrin Falls has also already played their next contest, a 62-49 victory against Orange on the 24th.
