Basketball Recap: Crystal City Skates Past Hancock with Ease

While Crystal City didn't have the best season last year (they finished 2-23), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past the Hancock Tigers 65-31 on Thursday. The Hornets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 22 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Addison Bova, who almost dropped a double-double on 27 points and nine assists. The match was her fourth in a row with at least ten points. Carly Roussin was another key player, going 8 for 19 on her way to 17 points and three blocks.

Crystal City pushed their record up to 8-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33.2 points. As for Hancock, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Crystal City will head out on the road to take on Oak Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oak Ridge will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Crystal City surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hancock, they will host Maplewood-Richmond Heights at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
